Data Deletion Instructions
How to delete your data
Pilot stores minimal data. Most data (access tokens, configuration) is stored locally on your own infrastructure, not on our servers.
Step 1: Revoke app permissions
Remove Pilot's access to your social media accounts:
- Facebook: Go to Settings > Security > Apps and Websites > find "Pilot" > Remove.
- Instagram: Go to Settings > Apps and Websites > Active > find "Pilot" > Remove.
Step 2: Delete local configuration
Remove your local Pilot configuration and credentials:
- Delete the
META_PUBLISH_TOKENline from your.env.localfile. - Remove the
publish.metasection from yourpilot.config.mjsfile.
Step 3: Request server-side deletion (if applicable)
If you believe we hold any data about your account on our systems, send a deletion request to pilot@akson.ch with:
- Your Facebook Page name or ID
- Your Instagram username (if applicable)
- A request to delete all associated data
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.
What gets deleted
- All access tokens and credentials associated with your accounts.
- Any operational logs containing your account identifiers.
- Analytics snapshots stored locally.
What is not affected
- Content already published to your social media accounts (managed directly on those platforms).
- Data held by Meta, Google, or other platforms (subject to their own deletion policies).
