1. Who we are
Pilot is operated by Akson GmbH ("we", "us"), a company registered in Switzerland. Pilot is a marketing operations toolkit that helps businesses manage social media publishing, advertising, and analytics.
2. What data we collect
When you connect your social media accounts to Pilot, we access the following data through platform APIs:
- Facebook/Instagram: Page information, post content, publishing permissions, and engagement metrics via the Meta Graph API.
- Account identifiers: Page IDs, Instagram Business Account IDs, and access tokens required to publish content on your behalf.
We do not collect personal data from your followers, fans, or customers. We only access data necessary to perform publishing and analytics operations that you explicitly request.
3. How we use your data
We use the data solely to:
- Publish content (posts, stories, reels, videos) to your connected social media accounts.
- Display engagement metrics and analytics for your published content.
- Manage advertising campaigns on your behalf.
4. Data storage and security
Access tokens are stored locally in your project environment files (.env.local) on your own infrastructure. We do not store your tokens or credentials on our servers. All API communication uses HTTPS encryption.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is transmitted only to the social media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok) as required to perform the publishing and analytics operations you request.
6. Data retention
We retain operational logs for up to 90 days for debugging purposes. Published content remains on the respective social media platforms according to their own retention policies. You can delete your local data at any time by removing your project configuration.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Disconnect your social media accounts at any time by revoking app permissions in your platform settings.
- Request deletion of any data we hold about you (see Data Deletion).
- Access information about what data we process on your behalf.
8. Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking scripts.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
